In France, NIDEK SA was created in 1988. Thanks to the technical know-how and the quality of ots teams, NIDEK has become a leader in France for the equipment and assistance of health care professionals and establishments. Today, NIDEK SA designs, manufactures and exports from its French plant their consultations units to the whole world.

Our experts in eye sciences have always been directly connected, as actors and partners, to the last findings in relation with vision. Because of the working environment of our customers, our company has to respect stricter and stricter requirements and has to focus on improvement. Since 1997, NIDEK France has been committed to implementing, on all its sites and for all its activities, a quality-rule management system meeting the requirements of norm ISO 13485. As a manufacturer of examination units, NIDEK France must meet the regulatory requirements of the European Directive 93/42/CEE related to Medical Devices to get the mark CE for its products.
NIDEK SA is the subsidiary of a big Japanese company. It decided to design and manufacture the totality of its consultation units in Saint Priest, near Lyons, in France, to promote French production.
In order to guarantee shorts delivery times and an optimal quality to its finished products, the manufacturing site relies in priority on reactive French suppliers meeting its requirements.
NIDEK decided to have its consultation units certified by AFNOR to affix the label ‘Origine France Garantie’ on its tables.
