All the NIDEK range of automatic lensometers benefits from the Hartmann-Shack technology. This system analyses the deformations of the wavefront to detect and quantify the smallest power variation. When installing a glass into one of the lensometers of the NIDEK range, the glass power is simultaneously considered on 108 points, to perform a quick and precise measure. Thanks to their green LED’s, whose wavelength is close to the ISO norm, all the glasses, whatever their infractive index, can be measured, without requiring a compensation of the ABBE number.
The precision can reach 0.01 dioptres. So the large measuring range ensures the reading of all correction and the precise positioning of the optical center. The determination of the type of glass is automatic.
The interface assists the user when he/she determines the power and guides him/her when he/she arranges the glass or the spectacles to perform the distance vision, then to perform the addition, in case of progressive lenses. Different ports (USB, LAN, serial port, etc.) make possible integrating the lensometers to all working environments, from the welcome place of ophthalmologist offices to refraction rooms, or to optician shops and workshops.
The automatic lensometer LM-1800P/PD is a versatile device used to determine the type and the power of a glass, whatever it is fitted or not on spectacles.
ast generation NIDEK lensometers are a reference for the precise measure of ophthalmic glasses. Automatic detection of the type of glass, measure of UV transmission, or measure of the fitting deviation, they are all very useful functions, designed to assist the daily activity of a practitioner, such as the refraction.
